Duel vs Stake: which crypto casino is better in 2026?
Stake is the biggest name in crypto gambling; Duel is the newcomer built around zero house edge. The short version: Duel wins on raw odds and simple rakeback, Stake wins on game range, VIP perks, sports depth and track record.

House edge: where Duel clearly wins
This is the core of the comparison. Stake’s official Dice page lists a 99% RTP, a 1% house edge, and most Stake Originals sit around that level. Duel advertises the equivalent games at 100% RTP within its daily zero-edge allowance.
Long-run expectation only. Short sessions can go either way.
For slots and live tables the gap disappears: both casinos use the same third-party providers, so the RTP depends on the game version, not the casino. Our house-edge comparison covers this game by game.
Rakeback vs Stake’s VIP program
Duel keeps it simple: rakeback is credited instantly after eligible bets on slots and live casino, with no wagering, and there are no ranks to climb. Stake has a classic VIP program from Bronze up to Diamond, with rakeback, reload bonuses, weekly and monthly bonuses and a personal host at higher levels.
Casual players often get more out of Duel’s approach, because it pays from the first bet. High-volume players may prefer Stake, where top VIP perks can be generous but depend on the host and are not published in full.
Games and sportsbook
Stake has the deeper catalogue: more Originals, thousands of slots, a large live casino and one of the biggest crypto sportsbooks, with heavy sports sponsorships. Duel covers the essentials well but is smaller. If variety matters most, Stake wins.
Licence, trust and availability
Both are offshore crypto casinos. Stake operates under a Curaçao licence and has run since 2017, which gives it a long public track record. Duel is newer, holds an Anjouan licence and has attracted more controversy, including a lawsuit filed by X Corp. against its operator in September 2026.
Both restrict many countries, including the US (Stake runs a separate sweepstakes site there). Always check the restricted list in each casino’s terms.
Which should you choose?
- Choose Duel if you play Originals like Dice, Crash, Plinko or Mines, want rakeback without wagering, and are comfortable with crypto-only withdrawals.
- Choose Stake if you want the biggest game and sports range, a VIP program with a host, and a longer track record.
